Recently, I have been drawn into the amazing, mysterious world of arguably the most famous detective in Ficton, Sherlock Holmes.
I have delved into Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's writings, in fact all four novels and fifty seven (I think..) short stories. In just a few minutes I was reading as quickly as I could, hardly able to wait to read the conclusion to each mystery. Of course, there are some better than others, and I think my favourite would have to be The Speckled Band , but all in all they are fresh, witty and language-rich.
However, it was only after watching the new television series from BBC, Sherlock , that I decided to find the stories. I can safely say I have never seen such a refreshing blend of mystery, adventure and comedy. It's fast-paced, intellgent and extremely well-cast. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman just do an amazing job at playing Sherlock and Dr. John .H. Watson.
So, I thought it would be a great opportunity to feature some great BBC Sherlock art!

Falling Stars
My last journal entry prophesied my expected return to DA. Unfortunately, I won't be around as permanently as I had hoped. My life has begun a downward spiral that means I don't have much time for writing. Don't worry - no matter what I write I promise I'll be okay. It isn't in my nature to give up. I have just posted a poem titled 'Falling Stars' that sort of shows how I'm feeling at the moment. That's all the insight I can give, through my writing, because past that my personal life is ... well, personal. If anyone has bothered reading this, thanks. It's people like you who keep me going.
Returning
Salutations.
First I must apologize for my long absence. My life has been working itself out recently and I have had to relocate. Shifting between my temporary place to my home has taken its toll. But I'm slowly getting back onto my feet.
Which also means I have time for writing. So, for the foreseeable future, I'll return to pottering around DA and reading and admiring art.
I have a "long" short story in the works at present, titled The Glass Crown, which I hope to have for purchase sometime soon.
See you around,
Becca
Hello Again
Hello everyone reading this!
I've just uploaded a new short story and have been really concentrating on my writing recently. A rather difficult time in my life caused me to take a step back from the internet and also writing, but I'm slowly getting back on my feet. Although things cannot return to the way they were, and another big change is headed my way very soon, I am trying to get back to DA and to my novel.
So, with that said, I have some news to share.
Firstly, I now have a website! I chose Wix and picked a colour scheme and design I was into. Basically, I just took bits and pieces from Wix and used them for my site. Yes, it was a ve
